What are the  prerequisites for the teacher training?

• Applicants must be minimum 21 years of age to attend the teacher training.
• A minimum of six months of continuous Bikram Yoga  practice at an affiliated studio taught by a certified Bikram Yoga teacher is required.
• A written recommendation from your teacher is required as your instructor is the best judge of your practice and your readiness for the training.
• You must be physically fit and able to complete two full Bikram Yoga classes daily, attend anatomy classes, lectures, posture clinics and memorize the Bikram Yoga dialogue.
• Your application will be evaluated by the teacher training staff. You will be informed if you are accepted.

Decisions are made on a case by case basis, as applications arrive.

What if there is no Bikram Yoga studio where I live?

Applicants with extensive home practice of the Bikram Yoga Method will be considered on a case by case basis.

When is the last date to register for the teacher training?

The training enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

How can I secure a space in the training?

By sending in your complete application ,and payment for mandatory housing.

How many students are in a teacher training session?

We have the room capacity is almost 700 students the biggest and most beautiful yoga room in the world..

When is Check In time?

Check in time is 4 pm on September 14th and check out time is November 16th at 11 am.

Are there single rooms available at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess Hotel?

We can accomodate you with a single room at Fairmont Acapulco Princess Hotel at the price of USD 8000 for the entire time of the training,make reservations with shelly@bikramyoga.com

Does everyone who completes the program receive the Bikram Yoga Teacher Certification?

Certification is not guaranteed simply by attending the Teacher Training program. You must pass the anatomy tests, attend and participate in all posture clinics, lectures, be able to deliver the Bikram Yoga dialogue for each posture to Bikram’s satisfaction, and demonstrate proficiency in the Bikram Yoga postures. A midterm exam will identify those students not meeting certifying standards and additional help will be available to them. At graduation, those students not meeting certifying standards may be afforded additional opportunities for practice and certification.

I plan to open a Bikram Yoga franchise studio. What do I need to do?

You are a Certified Bikram’s Yoga Teacher, even if you plan to hire other certified teachers to teach at your studio. Attend the Teacher Training focused solely on becoming the best yoga teacher you can be. Don’t come with a business plan, proposal, or a location. After your graduation, you must teach for at least six months at an affiliated Bikram Yoga studio before you can apply to open your own affiliated Bikram’s franchise studio. The franchise procedures is a part of the teacher training course.

What are the details of Bikram Yoga Studio Franchise Plan?

The plan is under development and will be made available to applicants as soon as possible. A notice will be posted on this site when it is available.
