STUDIOS Needed & Wanted Badly

Lake Tahoe, California : The south shore of Lake Tahoe is in desperate need of a Bikram Studio! With over 34,000 full-time residents and a tourist population that swells to over 85,000 there are a large number of people to serve. Our nearest studio is over an hour away on mountain roads!

South Lake Tahoe is a great resort town with the projected growth of a mid-sized city. With three world-class ski resorts within 30 minutes, an average of over 275 days of sunshine a year, hiking, biking, water sports, etc., this is a physically active population of outdoor enthusiasts. What better way to complement the active outdoor lifestyles that we all live here in beautiful Lake Tahoe, then with a beautiful Bikram practice? If you are an instructor interested in teaching and living in South Tahoe please contact me.

Dunedin New Zealand a small city perfectly formed, full of big city features in the wrappings of a busy university town, Dunedin is waiting to give that certain person a warm welcome upon establishing their bikram yoga studio in our safe and compact city. We are nestled in dramatic forested hills, resting on a long natural harbor on the south east coast of the South Island. Dunedin is a major seat in the country with a strong arts and cultural influence sitting with a population of 122,000. Home to some of the world’s rarest wildlife, great surf, spectacular eco-attractions and also displaying elegance and historic character, Dunedin would be an even better place with Bikram Yoga. Patience upon us, have a beautiful Bikram practice…

Orange/Tustin The City of Orange/Tustin is in desperate need of a Bikram Studio.

Cork has a population of 481,295 and has a multitude of yoga studios in and around the city and county. Like myself returning from years of living in London, where I practised Bikram, there are many others who have discovered it on their travels and would love a studio in their home town. The studios in Galway, Dublin and Belfast are all going from strength to strength and the studio in Dublin and Galway regularly feature on Irish TV to great response. Why Cork still lacks a studio is beyond me, as one in Cork will serve the whole of the Southern region of Ireland. I can only see a Bikram studio thrive in Cork city.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need any help: evelinobambino@hotmail.comm

Cleveland, Ohio : has a population of approximately 480,000 people. There is not 1 Bikram Yoga studio in the Cleveland area. The closest is about 2 hours away in Columbus. Cleveland is the 2nd largest city in Ohio & the 33rd largest city in the country. This city could easily support a Bikram Yoga studio.

Hot yoga is very popular in the Cleveland area, but in no way does it compare to Bikram Yoga. Bikram Yoga would do very well here. As a massage therapist, I feel it is better, more therapeutic & healing to the body than any hot yoga class.

So why not bring the healing style of Bikram Yoga to Cleveland? I am even considering taking the teacher training myself.

Cleveland is a great place to live, work & play. There are many, great locations to open a studio in the Cleveland area. Please consider opening your next location in Cleveland. We need you.

Tallahassee, Florida: A Bikram studio would thrive in Tallahassee. According to Wikipedia, the metro area population is 336,501. Of that number, approximately 50,000 are college students from around the state and country, many of whom are Bikram devotees when they go home on school breaks. Another 2,500 of the population are university faculty members, many of which come from diverse, sophisticated and international backgrounds. Add to that the number of dance majors and collegiate athletes, which surely have begun to realize the benefits of yoga. There is no Bikram studio within three hours, and no hot yoga in town at all. I miss my regular practice! Please write with any questions Noles9498@gmail.com.

Marysville/Yuba City: I practiced Bikram Yoga in Reno, Nevada for over 4 years. I have moved to northern California to assist in raising my grandson, Marysville/Yuba City. This community is really growing and could easily support a studio if not two studios. As a therapist, I have many people interested in this wonderful practice: a psychiatrist, a chyropractor and many friends. Please come to this community and bring the joy and healing of Bikram yoga to us.

Durango, Colorado needs a Bikram Studio. Durango has a population of 16,000 with the county population of 48,000. The beautiful historic town is at the edge of the San Juan mountains and a close proximity to Moab. The town hosts a number of activities, including world class biking (mountain and road), kayaking, skiing and hiking. Home to outdoor enthusiasts and a small college. We have a hot yoga that meets a few times a week, but it is not HOT and it is not Bikrams. I've been in Durango for nearly 2 years now and find that the town is growing and would be a wonderful place for a Bikrams studio as it's a great place to live in Colorado. Please consider opening your new studio in Durango, CO.
thanks,
mary

Grand Rapids, Michigan It's a growing metropolis situated halfway between Chicago and Detroit that is in desperate need of a Bikram Yoga Studio! I have been practicing in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and will soon be moving to Michigan and I'm very sad to see that there is no Bikram studio in Grand Rapids! In fact, there are only a few yoga studios at all. So this is a desperate request to fill this untapped market and someone open a Bikram studio, I will be the first one waiting in line!

Taos, New Mexico needs a Bikram Yoga Studio. There are very few areas of the country that have a progressive mindset and spiritual atmosphere more aptly suited to run a studio than Taos. It is widely considered as THE cultural/spiritual/artistic/healing/outdoors hub of New Mexico. The closest Bikram studio is currently in Santa Fe, about 1 hr., 30 min. away. The population of the Taos area is around 32,000 and growing steadily. While statistics show that the median income runs on the low side when compared to other areas of the country, other indicators hint that this alone should not be the deciding factor whether or not to run a studio in Taos. Even though housing remains relatively affordable, the average home sales price in 2006 was $359,783, which represented a 65% increase in the last 6 years. The area is quickly becoming a haven for many open-minded retirees or those with the means to escape from the population and real estate booms of Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Add to this that most people who have already chosen to live in Taos already have the spiritual, physical and emotional qualities that are well-suited to Bikram Yoga, and you have what may be one of the most promising locations there is to successfully run a studio.

Bikram Yoga studio needed in Wichita Kansas. I've been practicing Bikram Yoga for almost ten years. I learned from the book and have traveled on occassion to the nearest studio, which is 3 hours away in Lawrence, and to the Dallas area for classes. Wichita is growing steadily and becoming more and more metropolitan. But it's still a friendly midwestern town. Unfortunately, it has one of the fattest populations in the nation. I have recommended Bikram Yoga to so many friends, but since there is no studio here, they would have to practice it at home and they do not commit to doing that. We have a few yoga studios of other styles, Pilates, and a Hot Yoga class, none of which compares to Bikram Yoga. There are many, many possible locations here for a studio to be opened by a certified Instructor. Please consider Wichita. Wichita needs you!

Urgent studio needed for Princeton New Jersey: This town needs a Bikram studio, the closest place is over 50 minutes away. It is an affluent university town, sophisticated, very international, liberal....... with a strong University student body and lots of young families - with mothers/fathers who need to practice! There are two places teaching "hot yoga" right now, but only very few hours as far as the schedule goes and they are not Bikram studios. A Bikram heaven - who wants to jump on to this opportunity? Princeton has been voted the 11th best place to live in the US."
